Labour persecute hospital motorists & patients

Going to Slough Hospital will costs you £ £ £ £ £

What on earth has the public done to deserve Labour's latest nasty outburst?

Commissioner for car clamping Cllr James Swindlehurst (Lab, Cippenham Green), who stars in the Rotten Boroughs section of Private Eye magazine, is again on the rampage against car drivers.

Slough is littered with speed bumps which damage cars but Labour want more revenge on local motorists. Their shambolic Heart of Slough scheme will remove over 700 car parking spaces from the Town Centre which will hasten the decline of High Street shopping.

A few weeks ago Cllr Swindlehurst welcomed the new Conservative-Lib Dems government's plans to ban cowboy clampers. Now James Swindlehurst and his Labour councillors have instructed Slough Borough Council to clamp and tow-away of cars parked outside residents own homes. Keen to also punish the sick and injured Cllr Swindlehurst is now targeting cars parked outside Slough's overloaded Wexham Park Hospital.

James Swindlehurst supported the the Labour government which closed down High Wycombe's accident and emergency department. It forced many thousands of patients to travel to Stoke Mandeville near Aylesbury or to use our already overflowing Wexham Park Hospital.

Cllr Swindlehurst and his Labour cronies knows there is no bus service from High Wycombe, Marlow or Beaconsfield to Wexham Park Hospital. He knows too that more than 70% of Slough patients and their families have no direct bus service to the hospital.

It is not a sin to use a car to attend hospital for treatment or to visit sick and injured family members. Often a car is the cheapest, the most reliable and most convenient form of transport.

Labour have ignored for years the serious shortage of hospital parking spaces despite Wexham Park Hospital, but not the road, being in Slough. Now Labour are promising Bucks County Council and South Bucks District Council, Labour will share the parking, clamping and towing-away fines if Bucks CC will allow Labour's private parking wardens to patrol the road outside the hospital.

The hospital parking solution is simple. Use the field opposite the hospital or the nearby cricket club's car park. Imposing hefty parking fines, clamping and towing away will cause extra stress and anxiety to sick patients and their families.

Labour's lunatics do not care about the public, except at voting time when Labour will promise them anything. Labour's latest attack on the local public is unjustified and very unwelcome.
