Slough Council Stops Residents Posting Letters

Is unelected top council boss Ruth Bagley really capable ?

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday 16th February I attempted to post a letter in the large pillar box outside Marks & Spencer in Slough High Street. I was unable to do so as the box was sealed.

At 1.15 p.m on the following day I saw a Royal Mail coated worker adding sealing tape to the same box. I asked why.

Slough Council has refused Royal Mail permission to enter the bollard controlled end of the High Street to empty that pillar box.

Furthermore, when a Royal Mail van managed to drive over the bollard - in one of the many non-operative days - and the driver was able to park off-road, in an unobtrusive position, and perform a one minute long emptying of the pillar box, he was given a parking ticket.

You could not make it up, could you ?

Who votes for Slough's mentally retarded councillors ?
