Sainsbury's Caught Selling Food - 50 days after use-by date.

Slough Party investigator, acting on a resident's complaint, uncovered Sainsbury's Store, Farnham Road, Slough, selling Polish sausage 50 days after the expiry of the food's use-by date. Six hours after complaining to the store manager an investigator re-visited the store and found more examples of the same out-of-date product on the shelves - waiting to be brought by unsuspecting customers.

Deputy Labour Chief Swindlehurst stars in Private Eye

Slough Borough Council's deputy Labour chief Cllr James Swindlehurst features in the new issue of Private Eye dated 1 October 2010 in the Rotten Boroughs section on page 13 after giving Labour Party official Iftikar Ahmed planning permission to build tiny sub-standard flats in Chapel Street on the south side of the High Street.

Slough's The Village is Bankrupt

The Village shopping centre and offices belonging to Crowborough Properties Ltd (04823362) was put into Receivership 10 times in January this year. Crowborough, owned by well-known Labour supporter Sanjiv Kaushal, ran out of money after buying several High Street sites - one of which, opposite Marks & Spencer, is now an empty plot of land.
