Hit-and-run car damages Stoke Poges home

Police hunting dented black Volkswagen Tiguan

Report and photographs: Paul Janik

On a dark frosty Monday morning, a speeding Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) failed to slow-down at a notoriously dangerous right-hand bend and crashed into a house's wall.

The driver of the two-litre diesel powered SUV extricated the badly damaged car from the brick rubble then sped-off into the darkness.

The accident happened in Rogers Lane, Stoke Poges on Monday 18 January 2016.

Rogers Lane is used as a short-cut between Farnham Royal's mini-roundabouts and Bells Hill, Stoke Poges. Bells Hill is on the B416, a continuation of Slough's Stoke Road, going north to Gerrards Cross crossroads (traffic lights).

Police are hunting for the driver of a black Volkswagen Tiguan with a dented front.

If anyone can help, including seeing a damaged Tiguan SUV, please ring the police on 101 quoting reference URN 159 of 18 January 2016.

Pictures of Volkswagen Tiguan can be found here and here.
