On 14 November 2017, the Municipal Journal published Roger Parkin's legal threats.
Thanks again to the immensely helpful Dan Paters, the MJ's news editor, for making available to the public of Slough Roger Parkin's legal threats to popular Cllr Sabia Hussain.
Coverage of Slough Unitary Authority's hanky-panky regularly features in the Municipal Journal.
In a desperate, some say futile, attempt to gag Cllr Sabia Hussain, Mr Parkin instructed solicitors to tell Cllr Hussain to stop complaining about his conduct and meekly accept it.
Everyone who knows Sabia Hussain, knows she is a brave person and not afraid of Slough Council's temporary chief executive Roger Parkin.
Unlike previous council chief executive Ruth Bagley who, council sources say, was afraid of Mr Parkin's screaming outbursts and threats of violence against her, Cllr Hussain will not, her friends say, be intimidated by a gambling addict with an uncontrollable temper who threats women with violence.
Cllr Hussain's high-powered legal team have advised her not to publicly comment on Mr Parkin's solicitor's letter.
Anyone who knows the basics of English defamation law and malicious falsehoods will know, after reading the MJ's article, that if Mr Parkin is genuinely serious about taking High Court action against Cllr Hussain, he should follow the pre-action court protocol.
Other councillors, aghast at the prospect of Roger Parkin's coronation as Slough's next chief executive on Tuesday, 28 November 2017, at 19:00 in the Curve building, William Street, town centre, told the Slough Times:
no baggage. An outsider is the only solution because they will bring-in a fresh perspective.
